1 – Detailed description

The Mosque is built on a site of about 7,500 m². Height of the minaret 65 m.
Capacity: 6,500 worshippers (3,500 on the esplanade and 3,000 in the prayer hall);
The Mosque has several facilities spread over 4 levels:

LEVEL 1

• 10 administrative offices
• 9 offices for Muslim associations
• 6 shops
• 1 parking space for 150 vehicles

LEVEL 2

• 1 ablution area for women;
• 1 ablution area for men;
• 1 accommodation for the Imam (600 m²);
• 1 conference room (300 seats)
• 1 library

LEVEL 3

• 1 prayer hall 
• 1 office for the Imam;
• 1 private prayer room for the Imam;
• 1 private ablution area for the Imam;
• 1 mortuary room;
• 1 esplanade of 3,000 m² (3,500 places).

LEVEL 4

• 1 mezzanine for women (500 places).

4-1 Le Comité de Recherche de Financement et de Suivi des Travaux d’Achèvement de  la Mosquée du Plateau (The Fundraising and Supervising Committee for the Completion of the Mosque of Plateau)
 Missions:
- Raise the funds necessary for completion
- Incur expenses
- Supervise the execution of  work

The Committee is chaired by Mr Feh KESSE.

4-2 – Le Bureau National des Etudes techniques et de développement - BNETD (The National Bureau of Technical Studies and Development)
 Missions:
- Conduct technical studies
- Direct and control work   BNETD is managed by Dr Ahoua DON MELLO.

- March 1996: Start of work
- December 1999: Interruption of work due to shortage of financial resources

- 2nd semester of  2007: Partial resumption of work
  Achievement rate of the overall work: 65%.
